ACTIVITIES
House Groups
Small groups, of approximately eight in number, meet in member’s homes. A typical format could start with a short piece of music and a prayer. Followed by Bible study and discussion supported by a published commentary. Alternative suitable topics of study are also used. At the end of the session the Grace is said to each other or a suitable closing prayer is used.
The formation of new groups is encouraged.
A Bible study group meets on a Wednesday morning at 10.00am in the Chapel, which is accessed through the side door of the Church. The study is led by individual members of the group.
We normally study a book of the Bible, considering its historical and theological setting and its message for today. Members have a wide range of belief and we respect each other’s point of view.
Once a month, Holy Communion is held in place of the Bible Study. This is open to all.
At 11.00am all are welcome to join the coffee morning which meets every Wednesday in the Small Hall – this is open to anyone, whether or not they have attended either of the earlier meetings.

Thursday Club (formerly Young Wives) is an evening meeting for ladies with the primary aim of sharing fellowship and friendship. In 2015 we celebrated our 62nd Anniversary.
We meet weekly in the Small Hall, and our year is split into 3 sessions. It is organised by a Committee, and currently we have around 24 members, most of whom attend on a regular basis. We enjoy speakers on diverse subjects, both religious and secular, and many of our visitors use up-to-date technology for their presentations. We arrange ‘DIY’ evenings with Bring and Buy Sales, Quizzes, Board Games for Charities, Book Reviews, Musical evenings, and similar activities. Each session we have a celebratory meal, Anniversary, Christmas, and Summer either at a local restaurant or on an ‘in-house’ basis. Our evenings close with tea/coffee and biscuits, or sometimes celebratory cakes! All ladies or guests are warmly welcomed.
